Behaviour of FITC-Labeled Polyallylamine in Polyelectrolyte Microcapsules

There are many studies devoted to the application of polyelectrolyte microcapsules (PMC) in various fields; however, there significantly fewer study themselves. The examined mutual arrangement polyelectrolytes 13-layered PMC capsules composed (PAH/PSS)6PAH. research showed that different layers dissociate equally, as case (PAH/PSS)6PAH with a well-defined shell, and 7-layered (PAH/PSS)3PAH, where shell is absent. polyallylamine labeled FITC migrate periphery microcapsule regardless number layers. This due an increase osmotic pressure caused by rapid flow ions from interior into surrounding solution. In addition, FITC-polyallylamine has lower charge density less interaction polystyrene sulfonate structure microcapsule. Meanwhile, hydrophilicity does not change or decreases slightly. results suggest this effect promotes migration more hydrophilic region microcapsule, towards its periphery.
